Paula Creamer wins Fields Open in Hawaii. Feb 23, 2008.

Creamer really turned it on and birdied four of the last five holes to win the Fields Open. Playing with Jeong Jang who was the leader for 36 holes, Creamer carded 6 birdies in her final round to win by 1 shot at 16 under par 200 (66-68-66). This is her 5th LPGA Tour win the last being The Mitchell Company LPGA Tournament of Champions last November.

Creamer who was fighting flu-type symptoms earned $195,000 for the win. She started the final round two strokes behind Jang at 10 under par. She had birdies at 1 and 3 closing the gap. Jang went ahead again by making a 10 ft putt for birdie on the 6th hole. Both players birdied the par 5 14th hole. Jang then went ahead again with a birdie on 15. But then Creamer made her decisive move and birdied the last 3 holes to win. Her score was a tournament record.

Jeong Jang shot 3 under to take second place. (64-68-69=201, -15).
Lindsey Wright’s 14-under-par 202 (69-66-67) resulted in a third-place finish.

Annika Sorenstam shot a final round of 4 under par to take a fourth place finish in her second tournament of the year (70-66-68=204, -12) , after winning last weeks SBS Open at Turtle Bay.
